Graeme can provide the perfect music for the arrival of guests, the ceremony, wedding breakfast, and evening reception, tailored to your taste and individual requirements.
Couples can choose from having a church or civil ceremony – with both offering opportunities for music. A church service will include bible readings and hymns, possibly with secular songs or instrumental music, whilst music and readings used in a civil wedding must be non-religious and approved by the registrar in advance. Despite these distinctions, it is possible for both types of weddings to carry a traditional guise or a contemporary twist, depending on the choice of music.
Graeme can provide music in any style – classical, easy listening, jazz, pop – on acoustic piano, electric piano, or organ, using the realistic sounds on his portable electric stage piano.
The music in a church wedding would usually follow this format, with a civil wedding substituting non-religious songs or instrumental pieces for hymns:
• _Arrival of the bride
• _Hymn 1
• _Hymn 2
• _Signing of the register
• _Hymn 3
• _Recession of bride and groom
Graeme appreciates that every wedding is unique and the order of service can be tailored to your individual needs with additional opportunites for music, provided this is agreed with the vicar or registrar.
"Graeme performed at my daughter's wedding ceremony and it was wonderful! The bridal party entering to the sound of Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring will be a memory to treasure forever. His playing of Ave Maria during the signing of the registers provided a time of great enjoyment and reflection. After the ceremony, he performed a fantastic selection of music to accompany the celebratory drinks. It was important for us to have live music because it makes an occasion really special. Graeme is a superb musician whose preparation for the occasion was impressive and so professional."
